Kevin Johnson, LMFT, LADC

Kevin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is also licensed in the state of Minnesota in the field of addiction as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). His journey of providing compassionate and evidence-based therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families began over a decade ago in 2013. Holding a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler University, Kevin specializes in trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety disorders, and relational and attachment issues. Kevin holds certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and he is a Certified Trauma Professional.

Throughout his career, Kevin has worked in private practice and community mental health centers, where he has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and wellness, including co-occurring disorders. He employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and EMDR, taking a person-centered approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

Kevin is dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment in which clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. He believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and works collaboratively with clients to empower them on their journey toward personal growth and healing.

Outside of work, Kevin is an avid road cyclist, enjoys fitness based activities, enjoys reading, and spending time with his growing extended family.
